Joanne has been providing personal training and weight management counseling services since 1994. She is a former Information Technology professional who changed careers because she wanted to make a positive difference in people?s health and well-being. Coming from the corporate environment, she understands the demands and stresses of that lifestyle and the benefits that can de achieved adopting healthy habits.
Joanne is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer and a Lifestyle/Weight Management Consultant, by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, and the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA) as a Conditioning Specialist.
Joanne competes regularly in various running events, including the half-marathons in Frederick and Baltimore, and the Baltimore ten-miler. She has completed several sprint distance triathlons, including a third-place age group finish. She also enjoys cycling, hiking and golf.
