Heather has been in the fitness industry since 1989, when she served as the trainer for her high school baseball team. It is there where she caught the trainer bug and pursued a career in personal training and sports medicine in college. She attended the University of Charleston to study Sports Medicine and as a student at UC served as athletic trainer for several collegiate sports teams such as basketball, cheer-leading, crew, football, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
Heather entered the fitness workforce straight out of college when she accepted a job with a corporate fitness company. She has worked hard in pursuit of attaining the goal of being a great personal trainer and a great person as well. She loves what she does and feels blessed to have the opportunity to share her passion and the lessons she has learned over the years. Educating people with correct information about training and showing how to make small changes, that are easily incorporated into a healthy lifestyle, is a passion. Fitness is a way of life, a way to a better life, a longer life and a more fulfilling life.
One of Heathers’ biggest goals is to inform and educate parents and children on proper training, form, technique, flexibility and food. She is the proud parent of 3 children, so she uses her own personal knowledge to pass down to her little athletes in the hopes that she can make a difference in their futures too. Education starts at home. Come join the IN-FIT Family and stay fit for life.
